The front view camera can be tilted up to 180 degree and record inside the vehicle if necessary. Built in GPS records the driving speed and displays the data using your computer (using iPass Black Player - Software included). When you play your file via iPass Black Player - it coordinates and matches to the internet PC map (like Google map and etc - internet connection required). The device is high quality and everything you could want. The Software is good for what it does. I expected the software to be Windows only and it is. I have an Intel Mac with Parallels and Windows XP and it worked fine through that.
Upon opening the packaging I was very pleased with both the quality of the construction (solid feel and not cheap thin plastic) and the size and weight of the black box. It is about the size of a salt shaker and weighs about the same as a small cell phone. So it is very easy to carry with you when you are parked in a parking lot. It would have been nice if they included a small carrying case. I don't want to scratch the lens. I'll have to find one for that purpose. If you do as I did and research you will find plenty of videos posted on the net/YouTube that show both the quality and stability of the recording. My results were as I saw on line. And I'm pleased with that. The power cord for the device is quite long so you can run it along your dash and up the side and across the roof and not have the cord just hanging straight down. I haven't done that yet.
I see now that "JayFab" mentioned about the Kilometers only but, unfortunately I didn't see that before and it would have given me pause. One of the main things I wanted this for was because I actually got a speeding ticket years ago when I wasn't speeding and when it's your word against the cop you will never win. I've wanted a device like this since then and it's why I paid extra for one with a GPS that monitors speed. Finding the Korean company Itronic's web site took a little time. It's not listed on any of the packaging or the manual. And after locating it I can see why. It has less info than you get here. Here is the address[...]. Support consists of sending them a question. There is no FAQ. And there is no software so make a copy of the software that is on your supplied SD because there is no place to retrieve it after. I did send them a question about changing to MPH and am still waiting for a response (I just sent it today). I'll update this if I get a response.

Itronics put me in touch with their US rep and he sent me a firmware and software upgrade. Now I have Miles instead of Kilometers. I'm thrilled they responded and that there was a solution but, they really need to get this stuff on their web site. Hopefully they will because other than that it's really a great product. Unfortunately Amazon edited out the Itronics web site I posted in my review so you'll have to find it yourself. Hint it ends in .kr
